• As of 18 August 2021 (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 209,537,276 confirmed cases, including 4,396,895 deaths. Globally, Case
Fatality Rate (CFR) was 2.1.
• In China, there were 122,455 confirmed cases with 5,669 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (212) and Taiwan (821). Confirmed cases
in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (12,040), Macau (63), and Taiwan (15,880). CFR was 4.6.
• 8,868,836 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 193,395 deaths, with a CFR of 2.2
