• As of 17 January 2022 (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 328,452,033 confirmed cases, including 5,563,794 deaths. Globally, Case
Fatality Rate (CFR) was 1.7.
• In China, there were 135,807 confirmed cases with 5,700 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (213) and Taiwan (851). Confirmed cases
in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (13,041), Macau (79) and Taiwan (17,820). CFR was 4.2.
• 15,719,693 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 310,160 deaths, with a CFR of 2.0
