Core Activities
Based on the endorsed TOR of ASEAN+3 FETN post-2015, the priority activities of the ASEAN+3 FETN will include the general activities listed below based on the ASEAN Post-2015 Health Development Agenda (2016 to 2020) and the 5-year Work Programme of the ASEAN Health Cluster 2 on Responding to All Hazards and Emerging Threats:
- Provide a forum for sharing of information and training opportunities such as workshops, experiences, experts, trainers, training materials, good practices, resources in field epidemiology training.
- Assist ASEAN Member States and Plus Three Countries in enhancing training capacity of FET in their own country; and
- Promote and advocate an enabling environment for field epidemiology in the service of public health.
While specific activity in collaboration with ASEAN Veterinary Epidemiology Group (AVEG), with the support from MBT Phase 2, a series of Joint Training between Public Health & Animal Health sectors on mutually interested topics, regular communication through Video conferencing and joint meeting, exchange of trainer/trainees as well as development of joint outbreak response technical guidelines currently being carried out.
