• As of 05 January 2022 (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 295,099,532 confirmed cases, including 5,478,100 deaths. Globally, Case
Fatality Rate (CFR) was 1.9.
• In China, there were 132,811 confirmed cases with 5,699 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (213) and Taiwan (850). Confirmed cases
in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (12,761), Macau (79) and Taiwan (17,129). CFR was 4.3.
• 14,993,895 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 305,921 deaths, with a CFR of 2.0.
