• As of 17 December 2021 (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 272,448,942 confirmed cases, including 5,338,562 deaths. Globally, Case
Fatality Rate (CFR) was 2.0.
• In China, there were 129,358 confirmed cases with 5,698 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (213) and Taiwan (849). Confirmed cases
in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (12,507), Macau (77) and Taiwan (16,771). CFR was 4.4.
• 14,478,414 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 298,768 deaths, with a CFR of 2.1.
