• As of 16 August 2021 (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 208,258,138 confirmed cases, including 4,379,009 deaths. Globally, Case
Fatality Rate (CFR) was 2.1.
• In China, there were 122,328 confirmed cases with 5,669 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (212) and Taiwan (821). Confirmed cases
in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (12,034), Macau (63), and Taiwan (15,852). CFR was 4.6.
• 8,699,784 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 188,766 deaths, with a CFR of 2.2
