• Worldwide, there have been over 594 million cases and over 6 million deaths attributed
to COVID-19.
• Canada: The gadget has received approval from Health Canada, but experts have not
yet had a chance to thoroughly examine the data.9 An enquiry from CBC Toronto on
Health Canada's approval and if the government may employ these tests in the future,
possibly for pupils returning to school next month, went unanswered by the Ontario
Ministry of Health.
