Global Update • Worldwide, there have been over 234 million cases and over 4 million deaths attributed to COVID-19. Regional Update • Vietnam's commercial hub Ho Chi Minh City will start relaxing its coronavirus curbs from later on September 30 (Thursday), allowing more business and social activities after four months of measures aimed at arresting a spiraling death rate. Starting October 1, Ho Chi Minh City's industrial parks, construction projects, malls, barber shops, hospitality facilities and restaurants for takeaways can resume operations.
