Global Updates

• Worldwide, over 698 million cases and over 6 million deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.

• India has reported a single-day increase in COVID-19 cases, with an active caseload of 172. The death toll stands at around 533,000. The country's total COVID-19 case tally is 45,001,536 (ETHealthworld.com, 2023). The number of recovered individuals is 44,468,069, with a national recovery rate of 98.81%. 2,206,700,000 doses of vaccine have been administered this far. [Full article]

• Republic of Korea: COVID-19 patient count fell by 2% in the third week of November, marking a three-week decline (Yoon-seung, 2023). The number of new cases decreased by 4.8 percentage points this week, with the infection level downgraded to Class 4, the lowest level since August 31. [Full article]
