• As of 06 January (2PM, GMT+8), worldwide, there were 86,850,434 confirmed cases, including 1,875,304 deaths. Globally, Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is 2.2.
• In China, there were 97,096 confirmed cases with 4,794 deaths, including deaths in Hong Kong (153) and Taiwan (7). Confirmed cases in China include confirmed cases in Hong Kong (9,050)), Macau (46), and Taiwan (817).
• 1,579,484 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ASEAN region with a total of 35,837 deaths, with a CFR of 2.3.
