Worldwide, there have been over 25.3 million cases and more than 848,000
deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Rakhine state in Myanmar has been seeing an increasing number of local
cases since August 16 and all townships of the state are now under the stay-athome order, as part of the measures to curb the spread of the disease.
According to the Ministry of Health and Sports, the total number of COVID-19
cases in Myanmar has increased to 749 as of August 30 with 16 new COVID-19
confirmed cases (10 local transmission cases and six imported cases).
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines continued to rise,
with 4284 more cases reported on Sunday (August 30), bringing the country's
total COVID-19 cases to 217,396. Of the country's total cases, 56,473 are active
cases, of which 91.3% have mild symptoms, 6.1% are asymptomatic, 1.1% are
severe, and 1.6% are critical.
