- Worldwide, there have been over 23.5 million cases and more than 810,000 deaths.
- Due to the recent increasing number of locally transmitted cases in Rakhine state, Myanmar government sent to Sittwe township a total of 24 volunteer health workers to help fight against the COVID-19. A total of 145,167 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of August 24 and 7,252 patients are under investigation.
- In Singapore, employers must ensure that their workers have completed a COVID-19 swab test in the past 14 days by September 5, as part of measures to ensure the safe restart of work. Those who have not done so will not be able to return to work according to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
