Dengue has emerged as the most prevalent and rapidly expanding vector- borne disease worldwide. The global burden has increased dramatically in recent decades, with reported cases rising from 505,430 in 2000 to 14.6 million in 2024 (WHO, n.d). The disease is now endemic in more than 100 countries, placing billions of people at risk of infection. Recent estimates suggest that approximately 390 million dengue infections occur annually, of which about 96 million manifest clinically, while up to 5.6 billion people may be at risk globally
