Rabies, a persistent global threat, causes tens of thousands of deaths annually, with 99% resulting from dog bites worldwide. To combat this, awareness, treatment, and animal vaccination are essential. Although 59,000 human deaths are estimated annually, underreporting likely leads to significant underestimation, disproportionately impacting rural poor populations and children under fifteen.
