Existing national and regional mechanisms were activated to detect, prevent, and respond to the new coronavirus disease.

The ASEAN region reported 53,906 new dengue cases in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand since the previous report. The region reported 450,345 total cases and 1,083 total deaths in 2023 with 0.24% CFR.
