Existing national and regional mechanisms were activated to detect, prevent, and respond to the new coronavirus disease.

The ASEAN region reported 17,785 new dengue cases in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand and 90 new dengue-related deaths in Malaysia, the
Philippines, and Thailand since the previous report. The region reported 572,357 total cases and 1,280 total deaths in 2023 with 0.22% CFR.
