ABVC MMWR Infectious and Emerging Diseases - 20 December 2023

• COVID-19 cases and deaths has increased by 36,427 and 21, respectively, since the last report in the ASEAN Region. 

• There are three mpox new cases in the ASEAN Region since last report. • 29 new rabies cases and 29 new deaths has been found since last report for zoonosis in the ASEAN Region. 

• Dengue cases and deaths has significantly increased by 49,724 and 111 since the last report. Meanwhile, 34 new malaria cases and 253 new chikungunya cases has been found since the last report for vector-borne diseases in the ASEAN Region. 

• There are 71 new diphtheria cases and 828 new measles cases since last report for vaccine-preventable diseases in the ASEAN Region.
