ABVC Disease Alert No. 41 | Human Avian Influenza A (H5N1) in Cambodia

Time Period Covered June 30, 2025 - June 30, 2025

On June 29, 2025, the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia confirmed two additional cases of human avian influenza A (H5N1) in Siem Reap Province. The cases, involving a mother and her teenage son, were detected through active surveillance in the same village where an infection was confirmed on June 23. This brings the total number of confirmed H5N1 human infections in Cambodia to nine in 2025.
