ABVC Disease Alert No. 36 | Human Avian Influenza A (H5N1) in Cambodia

Time Period Covered May 28, 2025 - May 28, 2025

The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia confirmed a human case of avian influenza A(H5N1) on May 27, 2025. The case was confirmed by the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge through laboratory testing. Despite medical intervention, the child succumbed to the illness due to severe symptoms.
